Due to recent news regarding the Rite Aid bankruptcy and the impending closure of pharmacy locations, the Fund is recommending that participants consider transferring their prescriptions from Rite Aid to an alternative participating pharmacy.

In the past when a store closed, Rite Aid automatically transferred prescription records to an area CVS or Walgreens. Unfortunately, CVS and Walgreens are not a participating pharmacies with Global Pharmaceutical Benefits (“GPB”), the Fund’s pharmacy benefit manager.

To locate another in-network pharmacy please visit the Fund’s website at centralpateamsters.com under the Health and Welfare tab entitled Providers. In-Network pharmacy chains include Giant, Walmart, and Weis. The Fund was informed that any in-network pharmacy you select can contact CVS or Walgreens to retrieve your records if they were already sent there without your knowledge. This can be done by calling the pharmacy or contacting them through their website.
